I want to warmly welcome you to ‘The Big Girl Talk’ (BGT) site. This site focuses on the Childless Single 40+ women. The BGT woman has made the choice to remain single and/or without children up until this point. However, it has not been without opposition and ridicule from society. The single childless 40+ woman has no real place in society. The only available for us are dating services and people trying to find ‘the right guy’ for us. Many of us have been immersed in our careers and others have simply made a decision wait for that special someone. The lack of resources for women meeting this prototype became evident after much research. Therefore, the purpose of The BGT is to build a sisterhood of the Single Childless over 40 women and address their concerns and issues. It is expected that you will be familiar and comfortable with the topics we will be discussing. We will be focusing on topics related specifically to the Single Childless 40+ women.

I ask that you get cozy and comfy put on your in your furry slippers and robe, bring your warm cup of Cocoa, favorite tea or coffee and join the sorority of childless single 40+ sisters. In this site we will discuss issues on singleness, share ideas, rant, pour out, cry and laugh about the journey of the 21st century “Old Maid”. “Old Maid” is clearly a term of the past since now we are successful triumphant women in our state of singlehood. We are lively, fun, free spirited, dynamic, driven, magnificent women whom have made great accomplishments and contributions to society. Many of us have achieved emotional wholeness, educational achievement, financial stability, independence, solace in our role and we have taken a stand in a society which does not warmly embrace singlehood after 40. But here we are! We continue to climb heights and now we are coming together as a community.
